Interview was this morning (19th May) and approved! I wanted to write a review, but for some reason it won't let me - so i will post it here, and hopefully an administrator can let me know how to add it to my profile!

Arrived at the Embassy at 6.45, beautiful day outside, and there were about 10 people in the queue before me. If you have an 8am appointment, it really is worth getting there earlier as the earlier ticket number you have the quicker it will be to leave!

So, you queue up in two lines, Americans and Non-Americans. Have your Interview Letter and DS-160 ready along with your passport. they will come down the line with plastic bags for your things in your pockets, and your belt (if you are wearing one). I didn't have much in my pockets, and if possible travel as light as possible so you are not trying to put everything in this plastic bag whilst trying to hold your passport and DS160 / Interview Letter in the other.

Once you get to the front of the line, they will check you off the list, and then send you to another line in front of the security office. You go in four at a time, and go through airport style security, which is very quick. You then walk around the side of the embassy and up the steps to the reception area. Here, they will scan your DS-160 and stick on your interview letter your ticket (which has your number on it). If you are going for the K Visa, it will be an 'I' ticket. My number was I902, meaning i was the second person in line for the Immigrant Visa interviews. You then proceed to the waiting room area. Pay attention to the screens, your number will pop up and you need to go to the relevant windows promptly! Windows 1-11 are the front, and 12-25 are in the back.

I sat down at 7.45, and at 8.05 i was called to Window 13 for my initial interview. It was a nice American guy who asked my for my passport, interview letter, i-134 and my fiancé's most recent tax return. He also asked for my birth certificate / police report and the copies of these. He then asked for two passport photos, and asked me to write my name on the back. He then went through a list of questions on a checklist and then took fingerprints. He also took the courier receipt.

He then said to take a seat and i would be called back for an interview.

About 25 minutes later i was called to Window 15. Another nice American guy. This was the interview, although it was some straightforward stuff. How did we meet, how many times we have seen each other, and some other questions that are straightforward. We had a joke about the roads here and how much bigger they are in the USA! He then closed my file and said i had been approved! :). He said it would take 2 weeks, or just under to get my passport back. He wished me good luck and that was it!

i turned around as the exit was right behind me and left to wake my fiancé up to give her the good news. All in all an hour in the embassy and probably 45 minutes outside. Really professional but friendly staff.
