Hi all,
Here's my timeline so far:
04/24/2014 -- Mailed I-129F petition (overnight delivery)
04/25/2014 -- I-129F received at Texas lockbox
04/29/2014 -- NOA1
04/30/2014 -- Received text/email acceptance from USCIS
05/02/2014 -- Received hardcopy of NOA1 (Notice date April 29 - sent to California Service Center)
05/14/2014 -- Received hardcopy of NOA2 (Approval notice valid from 05/12/2014 to 09/11/2014 -- 4 month (approval period)
*Only took 2 weeks and 5 days to get the NOA2 .. seems a bit too quick, but I'm not going to complain of course.
Case status on USCIS site is: Post Decision Activity (as of 05/18/2014)
So this looks like worse case scenario this will be a 4 month process now since the approval notice is valid until 9/11/2014. Is that how it should be interpreted?
It seems like the USCIS and the NVC are working much more quickly than I anticipated. Please let me know what expectations I should have knowing that things appear to be going through quickly. Assuming everything goes perfectly well, what do you think would be the earliest for possible the US Embassy interview to happen (in Manila, Philippines). Thanks.

Hi. CSC does approve petitions fast. From what I've heard, USEM still hasn't released July interview dates. A lot of couples have been waiting to get an interview scheduled and we're one of them. Some gets lucky and find rare and random openings for May. :)

Wow! That was quick! If you have the I-797 which says "approval notice" on the notice type, then that's indeed your NOA 2. Congrats! :dancing:

Your case files will now be on its way to NVC, after which to US Embassy Manila. Recent posts here suggest that it's currently taking 30 days for NVC to process and giving out the case numbers (MNL#). But in any case, you can still give them a call or an email after 10 business days from your NOA2: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc/nvc-contact-information.html

With the current time frames, you might get a July to August interview. As Chadxara mentioned, USEM is still somewhat congested and keeping up with the Haiyan/Yolanda expedites. But until you have your MNL#, you can only wait it out and perhaps read up on the embassy requirements for now. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/325288/packets/K1%20and%20K2%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_updated%2004%20Feb%202014_.pdf
