Plz where do I find the I 94 form? I am filling the i 485 form and I was asked my i 94 number but I was not given any.

which visa did you use to enter the US? I-94 what you get when you enter legally and shows for how long you are allowed to stay. It's been years since I got mine and my understanding is that recently they don't give them at the POE anymore but you can request them electronically I believe as long as you enter legally

The US I-94 form is now online and electronic. You can find your number at the following site:

-- I-94 DHS Information

On the above site you can enter your information and print a copy of your electronic I-94 record. For visa petitions,

please attach this printed page (containing your electronic I-94 information) and include it with a copy of your US visa and associated

entry stamp (in your passport).

Yes. You can separate the different forms and their supporting evidence with large paperclips. Some use a binder clip to hold the whole thing together.

and what about the ACCO fasteners? do people actually use them to send the package? sounds quite more practical than clips but I haven't read much about people using them organizing their packages.

Because the kind of AoS apps discussed in this board are sent to the Chicago Lockbox, ACCO fasteners are not recommended.

I believe people have used ACCO fasteners without issue, but most don't bother with them. And it is true that this other USCIS site for mailing to the NBC and Chicago Lockbox state not to use ACCO.(Yes, kind of contradictory and confusing if just looking at the general assembly tips which is linked from the Lockbox Intake Processing Questions and Answers page) > http://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/tips-filing-petitions-and-applications-national-benefits-center

It is easier and recommended to use clips so they can easily take things apart and scan them and place them in their own folders. I used smaller paperclips to hold together evidence documentation that went together, and larger paperclips to separate the various forms from each other. I just placed everything in the same order as I listed it in the cover letter, and put the whole stack in the mailing envelope.

Thank you and everyone else responding. I thought I had everything ready to go this morning but my husband (petitioner) spend a lot of time reviewing page by page in the package, and found several mishaps ( I forgot to sign the certification birth certificate translation done by myself and make copies of that page, there are a couple of pages missing for my passport and I have to make the copies, forgot to include copy of any valid ID for I-765, fix wording on part of cover letters, typos, reposition order of documents such addendum) . I have been working non stop on this package for the last month, I spent this past weekend working on it so I could send it on Monday. Frustration is building up and causing tension at home, but at the end everything works out, it is better to have it delayed a couple of extra days and correct all the errors, mishaps, etc than dealing with possible RFE in the future.
