Thanks guyz... Apart from the DV... Is there any other immigrate visa a Nigerian can apply for?

Student visa is not an immigrant visa.

Nigerians can apply for any ordinary visa - the work visas (H and L which are dual intent), family based visas, or investment visas (EB5). For the investment visa you need $500k-$1m to invest. For work and family you need a sponsor. There are other more rare options such as national interest waiver, visas for persons of extraordinary ability, etc. Do a search on the USCIS website for "how do I get a green card".

He seemed desperate to get here so I figured I would give him some realistic options... After studying perhaps he can secure a job here...
