Sent in the I-129F form today! Feels sooooo good to get that thing off my desk. Wish us luck and a speedy process. I tried to be as thorough as I could! Thanks VJ! I started my timeline :dance:

K1 Visa Journey:

Jan 12, 2007- I-129F Sent

Jan 17, 2007- I-129F has arrived at the NSC

Jan 24, 2007- NOA1 date

Jan 27, 2007- Check cashed by CSC

Jan 29, 2007- Paper NOA1 recieved (at permenant US address)

May 1, 2007- NOA2

May 16, 2007- At the NVC

May 18, 2007- Left NVC

May 30, 2007- Packet 3 arrives

May 31, 2007- Faxed Packet 3 stuff back

July 9, 2007- Interview at Vancouver

July 10, 2007- Visa recieved!

July 18, 2007- US entry

August 25, 2007- Wedding <3

hehe certainly is exciting... The first step for my honey and I to spend the rest of our lives together! But definately nerve-racking too... crossing my fingers for none of the dreaded RFEs. Thanks!

I sent my I-129f today too. And yes, it does feel good to finally get the paperwork on its way to a service center. So, ladykelia, I guess congratulations are in order for the both of us, and god speed to the both of us as well. :yes:

I know the excitement you feel right now..We've been through that...Now, you are done with the first step..Few more to go...The wait is sometimes frustrating but the GREAT LOVE you have for each other will keep you bare with it until the you'll be together...GOODLUCK guys!

Congratulations - and happy waiting. My only suggestion is to read thoroughly all the information on this site...start getting all your pieces together for the interviews - get organized while you are waiting. It will help a lot.

And so the process begins - K1 here we come

August 02 - 04 NOA1 (Nebraska) - they say wait 150-180days - ouch!

October 14 - 04 NOA2 (WOW!! 74 days - yee haa!!) - received via email

October 16 -04 Garage sale - lets get rid of it all - start a new life with my sweetie

October 23 -04 Got officially engaged at my parents house in Calgary - lots of fun

October 29 -04 Received letter from NVC saying that the consulate will be notified

November 8 -04 Received Packet 3 from Vancouver Consulate - everything as expected

November 11-04 Faxed check list and DS 230 Pt 1 (still waiting for good ole Doc Morgan to call back for a medical appointment)

November 12 - 04 Doc Morgan called - set for Nov 24 (waiting on passport and vaccine info)

November 22 - 04 -- got my interview date - yyyeeeee haaaaa

December 06 -04 INTERVIEW - APPROVED - YEEE HAAAA

Jan 11-05 - ARRIVED IN CHICAGO

Feb 03-05 Applied for SSN - was not in SAVE system - SSA sent my documents to INS for confirmation - another wait begins

March 14 -05 - Its here - yippee - i got an SSN and now i can apply for ID and a bank account and of course a JOB!!

March 22 -05 - GOT MARRIED

April 05 - applied for Adjustment of Status

Jan 06 - Received Green Card in the mail

Thanks everyone and congratulations to you too Wissooner! The good thing is that my honey and I will be together for most of the process, since I'm staying here in Canada on a Student permit :)

And now the questions start hehe--Thinking ahead to the interview--My mom (our co-sponser) is working on getting our financial records ready for the interview, and beyond that is there really anything else I can do before hand? Also since we do live together and have for a few years now, what kind of evidence should we be gathering to prove our ongoing relatioship? I have several photographs, but beyond proving that we do live at the same address, is there anything else I can provide?
