I am the USC and I am sponsoring my Israeli wife. We are near the end of the process, I am currently collecting the required documents to send with the Affidavit of Support. We have a 4 month old boy (already a USC) and really want to fly to the US in a few months for my family to meet him. As most here have been told, it is not advised to fly to the US until the visa process is completed.

We just remembered that my wife has an R-B1B2 business visa and a letter from work stating that she will be required to fly to the US for work (she hasn't since I met her, but nonetheless she does have it). Would this be sufficient to fly before the process is finished? Would we still need to show definitive proof we are returning at the end of the trip? Thanks all!

Sounds legit to me. Should be ok to do a quick trip to the US to visit family.

Safe bet you would need those proof of ties home like you mentioned. I'd also take what you've got to show you're doing the immigration process the right way, appointment letter and such if you've got it would be good.
