never heard of a visa adjustment.

If you are actually adjusting status from a student visa, to a legal permanent resident,

the outcome is a green card.

Unsure about the turn-around for her, as it all depend on the queue and lag in queue at the local USCIS office where she will be interviewing.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Atlanta? Atlanta was a cesspoll of lag, for 18 months.

Unsure what'll happen on her casefile and scheduling, sorry.

It's case by case. Ours was approved on the day of our interview, though the CO never gave an indication if it was or was not (the letter affirmed that it was and so did the online status). It took two weeks to receive my actual green card (and you need it in your hands to travel/work etc). Others have had to provide more evidence, or called into a stokes interview. Others have had a longer review process. Best case scenario, your case gets approved on the day, and your green card gets to you in a week to ten days, and you'll be able to travel to your college reunion with no fuss.

Stokes interview? I've never heard that term.

We've already submitted EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. I've got a stack of paperwork 6 inches thick.

Stokes interviews are second interviews - second chances if marriage fraud is smelled in the air. If your relationship is bona fide, and you answer the questions honestly, I don't think you have much, if anything, to worry about.

Good. Take your copy of the packets into the interview. Anything else you can think of gets put in there. (For us, this simply meant a few more photos and pre-marriage stuff). Good luck.
