So, the wife's got this thing, and shes worried about it causing an issue at the medical. I remember reading an experiance here saying its not an issue, but i cant find it now.

Can I get her some reassurance from someone that recently went through the medical with this "condition"?

Can you give us more specifics? Is it something she is embarassed to let other people see? The only person who will see her is a female doctor in a private room. Does that address her concern?

UPDATE: I just looked up the condition you specified. It is not a class A condition that would exclude her from getting a visa. The doctor will probably find it but simply tell her about it, and it ends there.

I don't think it will be an issue. I had an issue when I took my medical exam - it was almost a year since I never had my period. They kept on questioning me why and I told them it's because I'm taking pills. I showed a prescription from my doctor and I even gave them the number of my doctor in case they need more data or explanation about it.

But I passed my medical and now I have my K1 visa. I'm sure your fiancée will pass the exam. If she's suspected to have tuberculosis that will make the wait longer. She needs a sputum test for that. Or if she has other serious cases in which I hope she doesn't then she's fine!

Tell her not to stress about it : ) Oh and tell her to bring a jacket, it's cold inside the clinic.

Thanks. We know its not that bad, and shes not embarassed so much, just worried that they would require it to be taken care of before the results are released.

Does not like the idea of undergoing a surgical procedure.

Like I said it is not a class A condition, so the doctor will probably just tell her about it. If she is on any medication for it, it would make the doctor's job easier to show her the prescription, and if she had any medical procedure to correct it, a medical report from the doctor who did the procedure would help too.

But this is not a disease of puiblic health concern, so they will not make her get any medical treatment as a condition of approviing the visa.

Just finished my medical last week and they are not very strict about Almuranas ( hemorrhoid ) they are very strict if you have suspicious spot in your Chest X Ray, that for sure will delay your process.....

My husband is sick and has a cough but no fever. Would this affect his medical? His medical is next week. He will be going to the doctor today to have it checked.

That is exactly what Candy did for her high blood pressure and her prescription medication to control it. The result was zero problems.

During the medical exam they are looking for and that you are not currently afflicted with, a contagious or communicable disease of public health significance. If you have none of these conditions then you are good to go.

If they find a disease that is not communicable or contagious and of public health significance, like this one, (i.e. not Schedule A disease) they will tell you about it and note it on the report, but it will not affect your interview or eligibility for the visa in any way.
