We finally got our interview date! And a lot faster than we expected, considering how awful and drawn out the rest of this process has been. My husband will be interviewing in London on June 24th. We've been living apart now for almost two years now so of course we are anxious to be back together as soon as possible.

I live in Hawaii, so the plane ticket is going to be painfully expensive no matter when we book it but I feel like the longer we wait the worse it's going to be.

So my question is how long did it take for you fellow UKers to get your visa after the interview (assuming all went well)? What day do you think we could book his flight over for? Obviously I'm going to pay for cancellation insurance just in case something terrible happens.

Thanks!

As a general rule never book anything until you have the visa.

Zseren,

Its not long to go, this holding pattern you are in is the worst part. Bear with it. DCF through London is very quick. I had my interview this last Monday (12 May) my visa and passport were delivered FRIDAY MORNING (Took just 4 days!!) Amazing.

Hopefully all will go well and your husband will be approved. After his interview check your CEAC status. Mine changed from Ready to administrative Processing (that means they are printing the visa) 24hrs after that my CEAC status read ISSED.

Don't book any flights until his is actually holding his VISA.

Hopefully all goes well.
