Expedite based on natural disaster

Hello everyone,

I've filed for CR 1 Visa on February(vsc) .My husband is currently in Bosnia and there are major floods right now. It is a complete disaster! I haven' spoken to him since Wednesday and didn't know whether he was ok or not , until he sent me a text today morning saying he is ok and he can't leave his house because of the flood. I haven't heard from him since. It is supposed to be raining for a couple of more days. There is help coming from foreign countries (Russia, France, Germany etc.) I don't know how my husband is doing , he probably has no clean water and food. Most homes are completely destroyed...now my question is how do I go about filing a service request to expedite our case based on a natural disaster? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My husband called nvc and they just told him to send e-mail to them (expedited request )so he did that yesterday .I am not sure what will happen, but I am praying GOD for all the people in Bosnia. My house is flooded ,my family and I were two days without electricity, heat, water ,this morning firefighters seved us.Now I'm staying at my friends house. It is extremely dangerous situation over here.I hope that Your husband and his family are in a safe place. I'm telling you it is HELL over here,so i suggest you call NVC or USCIS and ask for expedite process . Wish you all the best!

I know it is hell Bebuska....I am reading/watching the news CONSTANTLY, even at work I check every 30 min. Fortunately the water is coming down a bit. I was just on their website, I couldn't find an email address , but I have their phone number so I will call tomorrow to request for an expedite, does anyone know the exact office hours of USCIS.? Please everyone pray for the rain to stop in Bosnia :(

Bebuska, have you heard that because of the "land slides" there is a high danger of stepping on land mines that are still left from the war? :(

I haven't heard anything for land mines so far,but land slides are the biggest problem right now,the land is cracking because of the rain, flood and "underground waters " , many people lost their homes, even roads are destroyed , it's soo scary :( i don't think that USCIS or NVC works on weekend ,you'll probably have to wait until Monday.
