Hello to everyone,

I have a question regarding the Work permit. Once my Fiancee and I get married and wait for the change of status, Is it worth it to pay the extra for the work permit while we get the interview, or its better just to wait... ANyone has a time frame for the process??

Thanks

Work permit (I-765 form for EAD) filing fee is free when file with I-485 (AOS) concurrently.

The work permit could take about 2-3 months to process.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Technically, filing for an I-765 (EAD) prior to marriage will not be practical since once it's approved, it will only be good until your I-94 expires (90 days from POE), and as Merrytooth mentioned, processing time is about 60- 90 days.
