Why will they not transfer any cases from Texas or Vermont to California to help even this load since they are so far behind in Texas and Vermont. I mean California is already in April and the other just now into January?? Any ideas or are they that freaking stupid???

Vermont no longer processes I-129f petitions, only California and Texas do.

Vermont is not currently processing I-129F petitions, that I am aware of.

Your timeline says yours was sent to Vermont and transferred to Texas. Did your NOA1 receipt notice actually say your service center was Vermont? Then, did you actually receive a transfer notice stating that your petition was being transferred to another service center and then was sent to Texas?

Makes way too much sense to transfer the backload to help catch up. But being a federal agency it doesn't surprise me. A real shame really how they treat honest people who are trying to do the right thing with this

I am confused about your case being transferred. Was your case actually sent first to the Vermont Service Center? Were you given a receipt notice with a receipt# that began with EAC? Did you receive an actual transfer notice, as in a letter stating your case was being transferred from Vermont to another service center? Or, was your case mailed to the Dallas lockbox intake facility and sent directly to the Texas Service Center from there, and your NOA1 receipt states the TSC and your receipt number begins with SRC?

I am asking because sometimes people think their cases have been transferred, but they have not. I am asking if you received an actual transfer notice. I was not aware that cases were once again being sent to Vermont. Cases that would have been sent to Vermont have been instead directly sent to the TSC since July 2013. http://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/workload-transfer-various-forms

I do not know why Vermont still lists I-129F on the USCIS processing site, unless they just did not take that down.

What I am aware of that since July last year, Vermont Service Center is no longer processing I-129F and will directly sent to Texas Service Center. If you filed after July 2013, it is a highly chance your case automatically sent to TSC. Transferring case means if they already processing your case at one service center - see your receipt number code- and moved to the other service center for further processing. If initially your receipt number with SRC it means you are not transferred at all. Check your NOA-1 to make sure you are filled out your service center correctly in your timeline.

These codes of four service centers:

EAC - Vermont Service Center (Previous name: Eastern Adjudication Center).

LIN - Nebraska Service Center (LIN refers to Lincoln, Nebraska).

SRC - Texas Service Center (Previous name: Southern Regional Center).

WAC - California Service Center (Previous name: Western Adjudication Center).

All petitions are sent to Dallas Lockbox in Texas. If you sent yours directly to Vermont Service Center that would be a new one for me since I never - or probably rare to see- petitioners sent their petitions to service center. If you read the instruction it says you have to send your petition to these addresses.

On the other note, if you have your SRC number it means you are not transferred at all. I think people who working at VSC were nice and not sent back your petition since you were not used the correct address.

Ahh, so you mailed it to the wrong address. They went ahead and sent it to the correct one from there. You should update your timeline to show your service center is Texas, not Vermont, and take out the part about being transferred. You have no transfer.
