One of them is for discrimination in national origin. Bc one of my alerts is my education and employment and didn't even both to ask any proof of my employments from the Ph. 2nd is for not complying to the ssn verification mismatch process that violates the federal or state law that they could not take adverse action against my employment. You can check the links on my previous post.

I should have said 2 of my alerts. Lol. But I had 3 alerts tho, ssn, education, employment.

Hi Fellow VJers!

I've read the post about this and it says it is a common issue for new immigrants. I have been here for 2 months and 1 week and got 2 job offers (probably 4 but I am not sure). The last job used a 3rd party company to check my background but they said my SSN comes back invalid so I am now waiting for the paperwork they sent me which is the result of the background check.

My questions are, is there anyway to avoid this if the company uses 3rd party people? What else can we do?

I informed the company that I have my gc and my ssc as well as my NBI that was one of the requirements from NVC and the USEM but they didn't bother to look at them and just relied on the background check result. I called SSA and they told my my info is correct and I am on the system.

Thanks a lot!

My husband is having this same problem.

This process drived me mad but is coming to a end thank God. ???
