EAD expedite based on job offer

This Wednesday 5/13 I requested an expedite of my EAD (I am adjusting status from K1) based on financial hardship, due to receiving an job offer. My husband had an unexpectedly tough time finding permanent work when we returned to the States 3 1/2 months ago and is still on a temporary, week to week contract which could end at any time without much notice.

I'm aware my chances of the expedite being granted are slim, but a slim chance is better than no chance at all.

On the morning of Thursday 5/15 USCIS emailed me with the following:

Upon receipt of your request for expeditious handling, your case was reviewed and a determination was made that we need additional information to make a decision regarding your request. Please fax proof of extreme emergent need (proof of job offer (upcoming job with start date, or current job with termination date from employer), etc.) with English translation to the following number 816-251-2290, Attn: LA0518 Div 5 Tm 2 Please include this notice with your fax.

I faxed the job offer (with an ideal start date of 5/19 specified) in the afternoon, and then this afternoon (Friday 5/16), USCIS emailed me with the following status update:

Your case will be reviewed by an officer. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 20 days from the date of this letter. If you don't receive a response, please contact customer service at the number provided below.

I'll post any further updates here. Has anyone reading gone through this same process and had any success?
