don't ever bother to call the service center and talk to those Drones that answer the phones...They are entry level people and all they do is read off generic answers to you.,.You need to have your atty call and he can get past the Nit Wits that answer the phone and talk to a supervisor and actually get a REAL answer from them..well...most of the time anyway..

You do not need an attorney to make a phone call and request that the call be escalated so you can speak to a tier 2 immigration officer. It is not about an entry level position vs. a supervisor. The USCIS customer service line is a call center. Those answering the phones are not immigration officers and have very little access to information. Asking for the call to be escalated is so you can speak to an actual immigration officer that has access to your case information.

I really do appreciate your responces. And I will inform my Fiance about his account, so that he can check it today and for some reason we havent discuss about the cash check.

And yes, he called USCIS Customer Service(he talked to real person) several times and the only thing that they are saying is that they can see the name of my Fiance in their system and we'll just for the response or something. But how come, he didnt received any confirmation yet?!.

Did he go to the USCIS website to receive email and text if there are any updates to the status of the petition?

Hello there everyone,

This is Maria. I am kind a new here in VJ. I read and learned alot in this website. Here is my situation.

My Fiance lives in Arnold Maryland, USA. We've met 2 years ago in US and got engaged December of last year (2013). He filed the first part of K-1 Visa which is the I-129F last March 20, 2014. He sent it to Dallas,TX Office. We waited for few weeks and he did't received any notification or something up until this day May 16, 2014. He called USCIS several times, and they kept saying that the can see the name of my fiance in there system. I understand that as long as they received the I-129F they will notify/inform us, right? He (my fiance) constantly check his email and mail box everyday but seems like up to this day he didnt received anything.

I finally got the urged to send this because We really badly need your assistance. I am worried now. Next week it will be 2 months already that we havent heard anything yet. I know that most of you knows the process better.

We would really appreciate your assistance. I hope to hear from you soon guys.

Thank you and God Bless.

hi,

have you sent your package with a certified mail, meaning you may get a tracking number so you know where it is and when it is delivered. If not, the only way to know if they recieved it is the money : did they take the money from your fiancé's account?

when all above is checked, just know that TX is the only place to apply for the K1 , so it happens they transfer files to other service centers such as Los angeles or in Vermont !

texas is known to be very slow.

for ex : we sent package on April 29th, recieved May 1st, transfered and proceeded by CA on May 5, NOA recieved on 9th in my fiancé's mail box, and decision approved (NOA2) May 14th !

so only 14 days!

keep hope and courage, check what 's above and if the money is not taken consider you might apply again

blessings from here

All petitions are mailed to the Dallas lockbox intake facility. That is not a service center. It is NOT the Texas Service Center. From the Dallas lockbox facility, all cases are sent to either the Texas or California Service Centers for processing. Those are the only two service centers currently processing I-129F petitions.

Your case was not transferred. Being sorted out and sent to the appropriate service center for processing from the Dallas intake facility is not a transfer.

okay !

i messed up the terms

the most important in that case i replied to was to tell that the money had to be cashed and then sending any package with a tracking number is the best way to follow and be sure it's in hands of USCIS

now in my case we are waiting for the NVC to be notified and my embassy to bring me into an interview, and to make all that done well, up to us to send papers as requested and to follow instructions recieved

thk you

To the OP, here are a couple of things to consider.

1) Book mark the following site. This is a site a Phil woman built detailing EVERY ASPECT of her K-1 journey. It is simply the best DIARY out there. Read it, enjoy it, cry with it. REMEMBER, consider the date this blog was created and ADJUST your entry accordingly to the AMENDED requirements i.e. new form dates, new forms i.e. DS-160

Pre Entry ( I-129 Process ) : http://philippinefiancevisa.weebly.com/

Post Entry ( i-485 Process ) : http://filamcouple.weebly.com/

2) Courier Receipt : Just because you have a receipt number DOES NOT mean documents were tendered to the courier. It is not like the Philippine. I hate to mention this too you. Ask your fiance for the receipt number and track it yourself. If is evasive ( avoids ) towards giving it to you, then you have your answer.

Here is where you track the receipt numbers:

United States Postal Service : https://www.usps.com/ ( enter number in the upper right hand corner )

FED EX : www.fedex.com

UPS : www.ups.com

Here is the sad part, I can can go to the post office and prepare a certified mail and simply walk out with the documents. Hence, I have a tracking number.

3) The address where he sent the package. If he sent the package to a P.O. address, then he can only use United States Postal Service. UPS and FED EX DO NOT deliver to P.O. Box addresses. Only the USPS, can deliver to P.O. Box address.

4) Payment : If he paid by Money Order, he can track to see if the money order has been remitted (submitted) for payment. He will need the money order number (coded on the money order) and the phone number written on the money order stub that is removed when you surrender the money order to the receipiant. Call the number, give them the money order number and ask when it was paid.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

I received my NOA1 in about six days like most others. As already suggested, about the only thing you can do is send a tracer on the money order to confirm they cashed the money order and then keep calling USCIS. I think they will only research the problem once every thirty days, so if you call in every week it may not get you anywhere faster. When I had problems and called in, they always told me to check back after thirty days. If I called sooner than thirty days they always told me to wait until after the original thirty days to call. Once you receive the NOA1, you will not hear anything from them for four to six months, i.e., when they issue the NOA2, or RFE. A frustrating process, but it's the government.

Well, first of all, I don't know who your fiance has been calling. When you call USCIS and speak to Tier 1 representative they need your case number (found on the receipt which you never received) to give you any kind of information. They can't check using your name because they don't have that kind of access. So I'm not sure how they were able to "see your name in the system". Have him call again and ask for case number.

First thing I would do is track the packet he sent to USCIS. You said he sent you a copy of the receipt so This should be easy. Go to the courier website and track it. The tracking number is on the receipt.

Second, ask him about the check. Has it been cashed or not?
