Hello there everyone,

This is Maria. I am kind a new here in VJ. I read and learned alot in this website. Here is my situation.

My Fiance lives in Arnold Maryland, USA. We've met 2 years ago in US and got engaged December of last year (2013). He filed the first part of K-1 Visa which is the I-129F last March 20, 2014. He sent it to Dallas,TX Office. We waited for few weeks and he did't received any notification or something up until this day May 16, 2014. He called USCIS several times, and they kept saying that the can see the name of my fiance in there system. I understand that as long as they received the I-129F they will notify/inform us, right? He (my fiance) constantly check his email and mail box everyday but seems like up to this day he didnt received anything.

I finally got the urged to send this because We really badly need your assistance. I am worried now. Next week it will be 2 months already that we havent heard anything yet. I know that most of you knows the process better.

We would really appreciate your assistance. I hope to hear from you soon guys.

Thank you and God Bless.

Do you have delivery confirmation that they received your petition packet?

Have they cashed the check?

Follow the money. The government is broke and always is in need of cash.

Hi A&B, i know. This is a lil bit frustrating because the only thing that we are holding on to right now is the receipt that he had when he sent the packet. We didnt received any confirmation from them that they received our packet.

Have him review his bank account for the cashed check.

It is my impression that USCIS is currently overwhelmed with work and underwhelmed with enough staff. It is good that you do have your delivery receipt. Did they cash the check?

Over two years ago, our experience was that we received our NOA1 in about a week. I am not sure of the current timeframes for NOA1 on the K-1 visa. Hopefully, others with more recent experience will offer their advice about current conditions.

You could try to inquire at the USCIS Customer Service line, maybe you will get a real person and an appropriate response.....

What mail or courier services did you guys use? Were you able to track and confirmed that it's delivered and received?

I really do appreciate your responces. And I will inform my Fiance about his account, so that he can check it today and for some reason we havent discuss about the cash check.

And yes, he called USCIS Customer Service(he talked to real person) several times and the only thing that they are saying is that they can see the name of my Fiance in their system and we'll just for the response or something. But how come, he didnt received any confirmation yet?!.

My NOA1 was just over 2 months ago. But my NOA1 date was like 6 days after filing & I received hard copy NOA1 in the mail a few days after that. And a couple days before that, I got email & text.
