If you miss your biometric appointment (split topic)

I know this conversation ended along time ago, but I wanted to post it in case others had the same question...

First of all, everything will be all right. Don't worry yourself sick about it as plenty of other people have been through this same thing before and were still able to get their biometrics done by bringing their appointment letter and walking-in to the ASC office without an appointment. I would recommend acting as quickly as possible though, to avoid problems.

Bring your appointment letter and passport with you and go as soon as you possibly can. Show them your appointment letter and they should let you get your biometrics done with no problems, eventhough you missed your original appointment. I've heard there is some kind of grace period of a few days or weeks, but I cannot confirm this because I do not work for USCIS. You would have to ask them directly to find out the specifics.

We missed our our biometrics appointment at the Chicago ASC on Pulaski Ave. We went the very next day when they opened at 8:00 AM and told the security guard that we missed our appointment yesterday and she acted like she didn't want to talk about it and told us to just fill out the forms and take a seat. There were only 10 people in line. It seemed like the place could accomodate many more people. We filled out the simple form and waited for our number to be called. The person took the biometrics without asking any questions about why it was late or anything like that. All in all, it took about 15 minutes and everyone who worked there was very friendly. We had a very positive and easy experience.

Again, don't worry. Just go to the office as quickly as possible and do the walk-in. Good Luck!
