I have most of the documents with me based on my last trip. Anna has some originals that I need for the package.

I am using a Plastic MEAD 3 prong folder similar to this.

http://www.mead.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv...1_false_10051##

It could be a bit bigger as things are a little tight in here.

I put a piece of paper with 72 font that states the following. "Anna Put Original Police Report Here" she will remove paper and insert stated document.

I have the KEV-1 document as the first page, I am using plastic protector sleeves as well.

I used index tabs that have them in order as stated in the KEV-1 doc.

I am also using 2 inch tape to tape a piece of paper to each front protective sleeve to describe what is in that sleeve (where needed).

Example: "2005 Tax Forms" "2006 Tax Forms", "Bank Statement"

So in essence I only have like 6 index tabs per the KEV-1 document.

I included on the inside front page an email from the embassy that I wrote the day/time, when to arrive and the confirmation number. I put this on the first page and requested Anna to have this out as well as her passport when she approaches security at the Embassy. Better to read the small letter about her interview then having her state out the confirmation number/KEV number etc...

On the Front, I included her KEV number and confirmation number as well.

Maybe I will take some pictures today before I send it off.

I know it seems like alot, but I wanted to do the best I could, you should have seen my I-129 package!

Regards,

T.

Eric,

Sveta put everything in the order going right down item by item using the KEV-1 list. She used plastic protector sleeves and a small three ring type binder..... Tell Lena to be ####### about the documents....(much like you were with your petition assembly)....

I did things the same way for Tania. It was similar to a small report for a boss or professor. The checklist was the title page. Each required set of documents had that entry as it's own title page in a plastic sleeve. Then that sleeve's cover page listed individual docs such as notarized I-134, bank and income statements, so on.

There is plenty of bad advice given out, especially from offices outside of Kiev.

Rob (George)

This couldn't be more correct...

I constantly had to tell Sveta to stop listening to her friends/aquaintances about certain requirements and procedures because most of the "advice" was contrary to my own information that I had gathered directly from communications with the consulate.

YMMV

Document - Certified letter stating she is free of marriage.

I am not aware of my SO having this document and if I am not mistaken, it is not anywhere on the KEV-1 checklist....

You know... one would think there would be just one day in this 90 day period that would work for all of our family to be present... As we have discovered... it is not...

It looks like right now we will have a simple ceremony sometime this month (maybe July 14th or 15th) and then the reception party on Aug 4th.... We decided to try to do the AOS filing before the rate hike on July 30.....

Kiev people, here is Tania's report of the medical review in Kiev. Since it's machine translated, it reads poorly. I can send the original Russian if anyone requests.

I have successful experience of medical interview and interview in embassy. I shall tell a little about medical interview. I have entered the name on interview by phone and serving to me very politely and in detail all have explained. Interviews pass with 9 till 12-00, but it is not obligatory to come very much early! Be not afraid of a plenty of people! Everyone who are written down for the certain day, this day will pass interview! I have arrived to 10 mornings and have gone to registry with the passport, file number and photos. To me have given out a package on which the sequence of visiting of cabinets has been written. First - photoroentgenography, then analyses of blood from a vein, the general survey (the oculist, weighing). Survey of the gynecologist is not presentsmile.gif (it for those who is afraid of a gynecologic armchair). Then in cash department you pay 100 $. I passed interview in June and payment was 75 $. But since July, 2nd payment has increased up to 100 $!!! Take with itself little bit more, than 100 $! Finishing item - the therapist. You will ask about the last traumas, operations, illnesses, inoculations. The doctor will tell at once result of photoroentgenography and once again will examine you. Do not worry, answer easy all questions. All employees are benevolent. After the termination of survey, you expect reception of results up to 3pm . In day when I passed interview, results gave out with 2pm . Results give in the sealed package with a press of medical institution. In such kind you bring a package on interview in embassy. I wish all of good luck!

Thanks for the update Rob!

Here are some pics of our folder that Anna will take with her to the interview. Hopefully it will give some an idea.

I know I spent some time on collecting these docs and wanted to make them presentable to the interviewer so that he does not have to look for the documentation.

From what I hear, if your docs are there and in order, the interview goes much smoother.

You have to understand that these folks do this daily, so it would be nice to put something together and in a particular order.

Of course the way I did it is not a "recommended" way by the embassy, I have no idea what is, and you do not have to do it this way, however it gives you an idea.

Good luck in putting yours together.

Regards,

T.

From the FWIW department: There is almost nothing =>ADDITIONAL<= that the Kiev embassy needs from the petitioner that requires an original or an original signature. The signed and notarized I-134 is all I can think of. Everything else can be emailed to your fiancee, and she can print them at an Internet cafe.

Hmm so your stating that the evidence of support does not have to be original?

I knew about the I-134 being optional as it is stated. However it was too easy to do so why not add it. Unless the $10 notary fee is too much cash lol.

But the Pay stubs, letters from employers or bank does not have to be original?

Does not seem valid as I could create all this myself and send it in. Of course be in trouble if they actually call and I did not work there.

Regardless, my recommendation, is for the petitioner to put all these docs together and mail a complete package to your soon to be.

Nothing like spending the time upfront to make sure your darling gets through with no documentation issues.
