Dress warm it will be cold standing outside early in morning there in Kiev at USA embassy, also tell them that you are there to interview for K1, they should take you to front of line and right on inside quickly. Good luck.

Hi to all!!! Received my NOA2 yesterday. Needless to say, we are both very happy and excited. Can anyone tell me how long it will take for the petition to arrive at the embassy in Kyiv? It was processed at the VSC. Any other information, tips, advice, etc. you can share would be great.

Three variables

1) Transit time from VSC to NVC

2) NVC processing

3) Transit time from NVC to Kyiv...

All appear to be slowing down in recent months

YMMV

Hi, I also got my interview scheduled for Feb 27th!!!!

And I got a letter from NVC in the mail telling when my interview will be and what i need to bring with. One of the reminders says:

"If a sponsor filed I-864 (Affidavit of Support) and provided the NVC with the proof of IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa interview".

What is that? Am I really gonna need that? (My husband filed I-864EZ to NVC and everything was fine with it).

Hello John and Luda,

I see from your timeline, that you received your NOA1 one week after the Vermont Service Center received your application. Vermont received my application on December 27, and I have yet to hear from them. Any idea why?

Not at all. The one thing that comes to mind is that the mail could be running slow because of the holidays, but who knows. If you have confirmation they received it at VSC then I say just be patient, you'll eventually get it. Good luck the rest of the way.

Usually within about 10 -15 business days. It starts moving fast now. Start getting your finance to get everything organized off the checklist from embassy website(you may have already done this) so she can be able to contact embassy and set up her interview asap. Good luck and enjoy, it is all down hill now, people at embassy are great to work with and very fast/efficient.

Looks like they are asking you to bring along a copy of your finance's most recent federal tax return that he filed in USA. Could or should be 2006, since we file for 2007 federal tax returns by April 15, 2008. Also if he submitted an I-864 based on what they say here to you, usually a person does not have to file the I864 until they adjust status in USA after marriage, BUT if he filed the I864EZ for you already in USA then I am sure the US embassy is going to be requiring and expecting a copy of his 2006 Federal INcome Tax Return, which you will need to take with you to the interview. Usually a person can use the I 134 form for the K1 embassy interview in Kyiv, but doubt that you will have to do this now since it looks like your finance already filed a I864EZ in it's place. Good luck.
