Need advice, is my green card lost?

Hello, I've posted on here a week ago because my green card had the wrong info in it, so I sent it in with form i 90.

It was "delivered" by USPS to the lockbox in Phoenix on May 2nd. I have not received an NOA from USCIS yet?

All other cases I've had with the USCIS I've received an NOA within 7 days?

I have no idea if it's been lost, and hasn't even been accepted by USCIS?

So what do I do?

I made an infopass appointment for May 28th, because my temporary i 551 stamp was only a "30 day" stamp because they wouldn't give me a full year stamp until I mailed out my green card and had proof of my NOA. Well....Now the ending of May is approaching and I don't have "proof" of an NOA because the USCIS still hasn't sent one out...I have to commute back to Canada for school every week, so I can't not be able to cross the border.

What's everyones advice?

Thanks,

Katie

It can take up to 30 days to issue NOA1. I thought we discussed that in your other thread?

We did discuss this, I called USCIS and they said it takes 7-10 business days...So therefore its been over that amount of time, and it's mandatory Im able to cross the border into Canada.

They will give you another I-551 stamp when the old one is running out. Misinformation line is wrong, it can take 30 days (which is also why they gave you a 30 day stamp for now).

it has been almost 9 business days for you; I bet you'll hear something next week. :)

Ok, so they won't give me a hard time because I don't have my NOA? I'm just worried because I have 6 exams in June... This is a headache!

I am sure it is a big headache, and annoying that they only gave you a 30 day stamp.

But, I think their reasoning is that you'd have a NOA1 within 30 days, so I would go back before it expires, you'll probably have your NOA1 by then, but if not, show your delivery notice and all that jazz, and explain to them that you have commitments in Canada and only want proof of your LPR status.
