Hmmm.. I don't know what to do, I want to avoid using landline cause I don't pay that bill, Imagine my mum getting the bill.. She'd kill me. hah! :') Is there a free app that would allow me to call? Anyone knows :)

I use my skype credit to call the US. I have a subscription where I pay £5 per month unlimited to mobiles and landlines. That's how I do it!!!

Got though to NVC, I did a mistake, I went through the spanish one.. hah! But the lady was very nice and calm, We had a little bit of trouble understanding each other, The case was received today by NVC, So I guess to wait a few more days and see if they have given it a case number :)

Also a BIG thank you to FishandChips87, I got a month free subscription for the international calls with skype :')

EDIT: (I would never have thought about skype)

^^ That's awesome!!! Yeah I don't know what I would have done these last few years without my skype credit. I can call him anytime anywhere and I don't have to think about bills. Brilliant! Gonna use it when I'm in the States to call my family back in the UK.

Oh if only there were no countries and no immigration and none of this rubbish we have to worry about eh? Cue John Lennon's Imagine...*sigh

Did you do your medical as soon as you got your case number? :) I just called and they said the file was scanned 30 minutes ago and it will take a few hours to generate a case number :) To my knowledge, They send a digital copy to london first? and then the actual petition, It wouldn't mess up anything if I do the medical before the file is at London but they have the digital copy of it?

I did do my medical straight away, but I don't know if that was necessarily a good thing. Here's my most recent timeline:

Medical on 8th Sept.

Case file arrived at consulate 11th.

Medical results arrived at embassy on the 13th.

Packet 3 was sent to me on the 15th.

Haven't heard anything since so I have no idea if it helped speed things up or messed with their order. I am tracking other people's timelines in London whose Packet 3 was sent out at the same time, and they also haven't been given interview dates, so who knows?!!

I just want to know my interview date already so I can plan! This has been the most happy but also the most difficult year of my life! On the positive side I haven't been this thin since I was 18. Stress will do that to you.

If you know your case is already in London already, you can call and set up your medical and do the DS-160 and notification of applicant readiness form. Unless you want to wait a bit for the packet, that's your call. We called and scheduled our medical right away so we moved things along.

I'm waiting for documentation for packet 3 to arrive from my fiancé in the usa and my police certificate. Can I book medical without these? They'll be here by next week.

yep! They will ask name, date of birth, case number and they will tell you exactly what to bring and that you need to fill out a medical questioner.
