Kinda Confused at this, checking the status at first it said "At NVC" on the 9th, then it switched to "In Transit" on the 10th for about 12 hours, then it was switched to "Ready" and this message appeared below it....... no way it made it to the consulate in that short of time...... can anyone maybe shed some light on this?

Status: READY

Immigrant Visa Case Number: *********

Case Creation Date: 09-Sep-2014

Status Updated Date: 11-Sep-2014

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

The exact same thing happened to me today.

Also, we called NVC the first time on the 5th and they said they had gotten it on that day, then we called NVC again yesterday and they said that they had sent out the petition on that day. I don't know, that kind of makes me feel like they were waiting for us to call to do something

I'm glad it wasn't just me who was confused! I called NVC last night and asked about it and well he told me the system is not 100% and they are working on fixing it. -.-

Can he send down his affidavit of support and supporting evidence including the letter of intent now? Will that be a problem in the interview stage? Since the date will be in September?

That's fine. Honestly, the sooner the better. I sent my entire packet to my Fiancee just over 3 weeks ago. She still hasn't gotten it. I believe it's lost. However, I'll do what I can to track it Saturday, if she doesn't get it by this Friday.

They are sending the package to the Netherlands today. I just called them and they told me it was processed friday and will be shipped end of the day!

My Fiancee called the US Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany earlier, only for someone who picked up to tell her that the needs to email. So I emailed & read on the German Consulate page in Portals section that it can take 2-3 days for a response. So I got an auto email that said it could take 4-5 days because they receive so many inquires. Honestly got an email 10 minutes later (no lie) from the Consulate advising me that they just received it from NVC today & that they had already sent packet 3 in the mail to my Fiancee. So tonight when she gets home from work, she will pay the Visa fee & complete the application. She already received her police report last week. The only concern I have at the moment is what is potentially a lost packet that I sent her containing all of our stuff that she needs for the interview. I will wait till the end of the week. If she doesn't have it by then, then I will have to finish building a backup packet that I created & send it to her. I made 3 packets. One went to USCIS. One I sent to my Fiancee right after NOA2 (about 3 weeks ago). And the final one is sitting in my possession totally incomplete.

You might consider do this... I just scanned my tax return, bank statements, chat logs, emails, etc... into my computer as a .pdf document and will just email it all to my fiancé so she can print it out at her leisure. Not going through the worry of trying to mail stuff to her and having in never show up. My friend did this same thing a few months back with no problems.

That is probably a good idea & then I can just email the pics I need her to print out & what not. A little annoying though, as I put quite a bit of work into that packet. I'm extremely detail oriented, so I honestly could not have made a better packet. I had little tabs sticking out of the side & everything to make each section easy to get to, with paper clips on everything. Is what it is.

Yeah, I did all that for my original petition notebook I sent to USCIS and made a duplicate book to send to my fiancé via a contact who took it with him and delivered to her several months back, but for the financial support docs and evidence of continuing relationship it's just so much easier to email it and then I don't have to worry about it being lost in the mail and she can print and reprint as many times as she needs to.

Good Luck to you.

I thought there was at least one document that required an original signature? I also thought you needed to send a copy of the original packet that was filed for NOA1 don't you? If not, email would certainly be a better way to go about this.
