Yeah, the lady tried to act surprised saying it usually takes 2 to 4 weeks before we're put in the system.

All you need is your USCIS number and information about you and your fiancee (Name, date of birth). The lady also asked me to confirm my fiancee's email and phone number and then gave me my case number after I asked.

yea apparently it takes two weeks. Even the timeline on here says that also. So ill wait another week. Im in no rush because I have everything already waiting the moment I get package 3 I can send it back haha.

I called USCIS today since we're so close to 6 months and the officer put in a service request. I tried doing some searches here on VJ to determine if a service request actually has any effect, but I wasn't able to turn up anything too helpful. Have you guys tried service requests? I feel like there are so few of us still waiting for noa2, we almost need to create a mini forum for all of us stragglers.

Nope, Did you speak to a tier 2 rep? :)

Did it change on the USCIS website for you? Or did you just get it in the mail? :)

EDIT: Sorry, Just looked at your timeline, RFE 30th of August, Did it change on the website though?

No...it didn't, that's what's disturbing, I never knew anything about the number change and checked my case status hourly using the old receipt number. I only knew about the number change, when I received the hard copy of the RFE in the mail and it had a different Receipt number. Once I input the new number in the USCIS website update section, then I saw that the ..."On Aug 30 2014, we sent a Request For Evidence ......." SMH, this system is definitely not very reliable.
