give or take a workweek.

Anyone had their package shipped to their respective consulate for those who had the package sent to the NVC? I dont want to call since that line is pretty shitty.

What are you asking exactly? Sorry; I just don't understand the question.

Mine was shipped on Friday morning.

The only thing with waiting for Packet 3 is sometimes the letter gets lost in the mail...sometimes people don't receive it. As annoying as it is to call NVC, at least you can get your case number, track your file on the CEAC website, and once it says 'ready', you can go ahead and do stuff (like DS160 and booking the medical if that's relevant for your country). It saves the wondering. Check out the Portal for your country if you haven't already, I found it super helpful for this part of the process.

For the beneficiaries amongst us, you can call the NVC number for free using Gmail: https://support.google.com/chat/answer/3379791

It's easy, and you can sit there with headphones and be on hold for ever without having to pay anything. I've been on hold for 35 minutes so far while I watch youtube videos :P

They finally picked up and I got my case #. They said it hasn't been shipped for me yet.

Strangely the lady told me I couldn't use the CEAC website to track it but I think she was simply confused about what I was asking from her.
As of now the CEAC tracking website says that my search did not return any data, so I assume it just isn't in the system yet.

What info did you give them? I mean just a birthdate?

Nevermind. They didnt have us on record yet. Which is odd. But oh well. She said it could take up to 5 weeks. That will be our luck. Dang it!

It won't take 5 weeks. Maybe 5 days.

Edit: They tell you that to try to dissuade you from calling everyday.

Yeah, the lady tried to act surprised saying it usually takes 2 to 4 weeks before we're put in the system.

All you need is your USCIS number and information about you and your fiancee (Name, date of birth). The lady also asked me to confirm my fiancee's email and phone number and then gave me my case number after I asked.

I'm sure a lot of people are, Remember the ones who aren't on VJ ^_^

I wouldn't start worrying until after it's been 6 months

We're still waiting with a NOA1 of March 21. I was able to find out from a Tier 2 officer our case was picked up by an officer on August 18. I found out from our congressman's office that it took a trip for "security checks" and was on its way back a week ago.

As my fiancé wisely pointed out, all of these efforts got information but none if them actually resulted in speeding up the process.

After 6 months, it's worth worrying and taking steps to move things along because the steps will be more effective.

I called USCIS today since we're so close to 6 months and the officer put in a service request. I tried doing some searches here on VJ to determine if a service request actually has any effect, but I wasn't able to turn up anything too helpful. Have you guys tried service requests? I feel like there are so few of us still waiting for noa2, we almost need to create a mini forum for all of us stragglers.
