LOL. Well in a way it's because of the military. You see, my mom (German) & dad (stationed in Germany while serving in the US Army in the 70's & early 80's) met in Germany while he was there. As a result, I have German family there, who I was visiting in Oct 2013 when I met Bettina. So even though I'm not in the military, it does have a tie in.

Ok, so I was a generation off . That's a cool story....funny how life works isn't it?

March is starting to be churned right now at TSC. I just got notifications last night of NOA2. So hopefully this brings hope to the Feb filers still awaiting approval & March filers who are looking for progress.

To answer your question Tony, I got a text at 9:45PM CST on 8-12-2014 that reads "Your case SRC########## is now updated. Check "My Case Status" at www.uscis.gov."

At 9:46PM, I got an email that said:

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

"The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: SRC##########

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On August 12, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Mind you, when I sent my petition, I completed the G-1145. Also, I registered my Case # & signed up for Case updates on uscis.gov. I wanted to make sure they had every avenue to contact me. I have not received my hard copy NOA2 yet.

As far as what I actually saw on uscis.gov, it reads:

Post Decision Activity

On August 13, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Edit to add something interesting. Though this all happened on 8-12-2014, when I logged in again to uscis.gov on 8-13-2014, it all looked identical, except the date had magically changed to 8-13-2014 & has stayed the same since.

We actually we just talking about the crazy weather and joking that the world must be coming to an end.... which lead to "If we spent the last year of the world waiting for this visa, we're going to be really mad!"

I hope you all get it soon. These transfers can only be a good thing for March filers, as I believe none were transferred. That leads me to believe TSC now has a less fat stack of petitions to approve.

LMAO. Too funny. & I know what you mean. I tell some people that this whole NOA1/2 stuff is just the petition so the beneficiary can file for the Visa & they go "what does she need a credit card for?"

My mom asked me what I wanted for my grad gift. I said a plane ticket ($1200 give or take). My mom looked at me and said: what do you want as a gift? lol

Don't forget VJ is a small sample of all the applications out there- There could be plenty of approvals happening that we don't know about!

Also, they seem to come in batches.... Maybe they're working on the new bunch that will be approved next week?

Or they had a big party for someone's birthday today and no work got done. Who knows? Best to stay positive, it'll be our turn very soon!
