Just need Cornyn's aide to make an enquiry. Then you hit Cruz's aide to do so. And so on and so. Squeaky wheel...

If everyone thinks like this, then Senator John Cornyn is not going to help me either? We are doomed because we are not white? Really? ??????

She got the Congressman already to make an enquiry. That is all they can do.

i don't know anything about your particular case, but, i would hassle the ####### out of your congressman's office - no matter if he's a republican or not. what other option is there?

Yeah but by that time a few enqiries and then you go in for a personal visit. Give you time to practice your sad face and how to drop a few tears on demand. They will give him the visa shortly thereafter. I may have found a Congressman with contacts there for you.

Janelle, do you really want to talk about your case? It would involve really getting into it.

As I said before, a congressperson cannot make a decision on your case. They can make inquiries which might make the consulate finish their checks. I don't think the white comment is really real, but I do think come congresspeople are hesitant to get in a fight over an AP country because it won't turn out well anyway. Some AP countries have white people in them, so it doesn't really add up. Just an easy insult to make.

Who did you vote for? Do you vote?

I made a congressional inquiry (just was impatient) and I made a point to say I had voted for this person repeatedly.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Ha! I don't need to practice. They can come out all on their own without me even trying. trust me.

Who is the Congressman?

And yes, I did send my FedEx to Cornyn after my mom corrected my letter

No, not really. Just because somebody makes a blanket statement about a party doesn't mean you have to believe it. Cornyn, or Cruz, might end up being helpful, I don't know. It might help that you emphasize that you are a part of legal immigration. Many R's want to prove that they are not against all immigration, just illegal; so maybe that will help you. Good luck.

Seriously,

Nobody received my vote even Obama didn't get my vote last election in spite of the all black folks voted for Obama joke.

I am willing to vote for a person who is genuinely human and dedicated to people and not bureaucracy.

I am the perfect citizen if they are looking to get someone on their side because I am undecided.

Look at Congressman Davis from Illinois.

Always say you voted for them. They can't check.

Are you sure? That would require me lying and I really, really try my best to be as honest as possible. I guess I am stupid and naïve.

Yes,

Part of my letter to him stated that many people have forgotten about American citizens who are trying to get their spouses to immigrate to the U.S. legally and properly.

If you don't want to lie you could stick to Texas and say "I am new to Texas and searching for a person to call my senator" or something like that.

But I thought you sent your letter already. Did you?

Someone once told me that the only job for a politician is to get re-elected. Everything they do is aimed at that single job. Use that to your advantage.

If you won't say you voted for them, say it differently. Say you're a supporter of theirs and that's why you're going to them for help, blah, blah, blah.

I did. I sent it yesterday.

Gotcha. I am a supporter of theirs and I am looking for someone to give my support to permanently.

What do you think?

How do you know he has contacts there?

Okay, here's your encouragement. Being apart sucks. I think everybody on here understands what you're going through, to an extent. My wife and I were apart for 424 consecutive days, and it sucked the entire time. But here's what you need to remember and focus on. While I remember the number of days, I don't remember any of the sadness. You are going to be like me. Once you make it through this, and you will make it through this, you will find out that it really was all worth it. You will have so much time being happy together that you won't even care or think about this difficult time; except to say that it was all worth it. This time you're apart - remember, it is nothing compared to the lifetime you will have together.
