I missed the voting off show this week, and although I've been an avid fan all season, I didn't even think to look until now..been VERYYY busy job hunting and the like...some good prospects...I hope something comes of one of 'em 'cause I'm kinda freaking out now! Tonight I was at an awards banquet for sports with my best friend irl....and her son won the Athlete of the year award!!!! WOOT! He's an amazing athlete and a great scholar too...was so proud of him!!! :) ANYWAYYYYYYYYYYYY....

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO flipping beyond ticked. Not because Melinda was "my" pick or whatever...but because she so far exceeds the rest vocally (from the beginning) that it's just apalling to me. For those of you who watched...what did the judges have to say about it???? Primarily Simon???

So, so so so so (repeating) TICKEDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! *angry*!!!!!!!

On the upside, I did like all the final 3, and although I do like Blake...have to say I think Jordin will be a hands-down winner. But hey...in light of what I've just read...I've been wrong before!

BTW, the beat boxing version of unchained melody cracked me up! I can just see it too...who said that? Jenn??? Too lazy to go back..heh.

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. *still stunned over Melinda* M.

Im glad blake is still there. i didnt really like melinda, she had a good personality but her face scared me when she would sing. my dad called her "no-neck" LOL

haha my mom and i laughed about her lack of a neck too. poor girl. i felt she had no personality and she looked older than she was... i think american idol really appeals to a young crowd and she wasn't the kind of person they'd go for.

its a toss up for me between blake and jordin. they both have a big chance at winning! its like comparing apples to oranges so i won't even say who i'd prefer. blake for his originality and jordin for her cutsieness. haha

Considering last years winner, I wouldn't necessarily say American Idol appeals to a younger crowd...

Having said that ####### how did Melinda not make it..I mean no neck, odd face aside, she was the most talented singer....

Jordin is lovely but she's not deserving...

Blake bores me he obviously is a favourite among wee girls and ####### guys :P

oh well there goes that theory., i didn't want last year. took a year off because i boycotted from my favorite getting voted off to early the year before.

i never liked melinda as much as everyone else. i liked her passion, but her tone bothered me. i can't figure out why. so maybe a lot of people felt the same...

Some say it's a singing contest, if that were the case, it would be best to take place over the radio, lol Americon Idil is more of a popularity conetest than anything. When it comes right down to it, doesnt matter if ya win, just being in the top 5 or so is more than suffice. Finishing 1st doesnt promise one a better career than the person finishing 5th!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I have no idea. Melinda was easily the best, and Blake is just so painfully mediocre.

America, what were you thinking???

Melinda has a nice voice but she looks odd. She has a Jay Leno chin and no neck.
