I don't know if any other Brits have noticed this, but Simon Cowell on American Idol sounds a bit like an Essex boy. Rounded vowels and he drops his Ts. But on the UK version he speaks with a more well spoken accent.

Is this just me imagining it cause it seems pretty pronounced to me! Perhaps this is his real accent and he just puts on the posher one for the UK versions????

the show sucked last night because only Latin type people should sing Latin songs.... No one last night put any soul into the song they were singing like a Latino person ccan....

I think Melinda had the best vocals of the night though, like always... but she could sing the phone book and it would sound good

She is way worse than Sanjaya! Anyone else notice how Haley didn't even deny using her appearance to try to get through to the next round? She better go before Sanjaya or anyone else. People should be outraged that she is still on the show and stop focusing on Sanjaya. Sanjaya can sing in tune, Haley can not.

Sanjaya sounded fine last night. His problem is that he doesn't belt it out, he sings too quietly. I have a feeling if he really belted it out, he would surprise a lot of people.

I like Lakisha and Jordin, but it wasn't their best night. Same with Melinda.

I thought Chris was okay, but sometimes his voice sounds too "boy band"-ish for me.

I think Phil has a good voice overall, but I don't like the style of his singing sometimes.

I liked Blake a lot last night, I always seem to like his performances. I like his voice style.

This was the worst show overall. They all sucked today.

I thought the same thing. I always watch on DVR. It was so bad last night I FF'ed through most of them. I started watching the show at about 40 minutes into it and I caught up to it live during Blake. There was no good performance, just a matter of who sucked the least. The best thing about this episode was Suckjay was last so I didn't even have to FF through him - when Jordin finished I just hit 'Stop' then 'Delete'. I think the entire show took about 20 minutes to watch - I mean sit through.

According to DialIdol.com it's Lakisha and Jordin in the bottom 2. If either of them are voted off tonight I'm done with this show until they change the voting process.

Nobody is worse that Sanjaya on that show - you have been corrupted into supporting him for obvious reasons. . Well, Paula actually might be the worst on the show. Can she be voted off?

It's not a matter of it being fun. Why watch live and sit through commercials and terrible singers/performances? I watch AI because I appreciate hearing a good vocalist sing. Last night's Miami Sound Machine theme was (IMO) terrible and the performances reflected it. Unlike most weeks I think everyone sounded very much like amateur singers last night. To be honest I thought I would dislike the Tony Bennett show but it turned out to be (IMO again) one of the best of the season. When the good singers are gone I quite watching. It's that simple.

As far as using the DVR... I also FF through Paula's worthless commentary and I used to FF all the way to the elimination show to see who gets voted off. I'm not going to bother watching it anymore though. I hate all that 'Survivor-ish' dramatization ####### they do and it just annoys me seeing decent singers voted off when Suckjaya remains. I realize they're just dragging out the decision over 30 minutes to get viewers and sell commercial time but it doesn't mean I have to watch it.

LOl. No way, Haley is way worse. I don't like Sanjaya...I really wanted to because he is Indian but you can see my post on here a few weeks ago, he lost my support a long time ago. So it's not for that reason. He did sound much better than Haley did last night. Haley is just awful.
