Gina's tongue piercing got her voted her off. Too scary to all those hicks out there. It made my blood boil to see that @#$%^ (can't bring myself to type his name) wasn't even in the bottom three. I have a prediction!! If HE goes all the way to the finale, and it COULD happen, I bet AI is done. Simon would quit and that's the end of the show.

Here's a sneak preview for next week.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

He was just as bad a singer as Sanjaya....

Really? I never watched Season 1 except for when I catch on Rewind, and I thought Justin was really good.

i didn't like him... he couldn't sing... I guess some people thought Justin was a good entertainer, just like Paula and Randy said about Sanjaya yesterday....

it should have been Tamyra and Kelly in the Top 2....

Even though none are anything like others in the past, I still watch half assed and numb instead of doing something constructive around the house. I feel that this group is not given anything to draw them out music and lyric wise.

As far as I'm concerned:

Blake: the only time I remember him is when I watch the show.

Chris R: is much the same as Blake out of sight out of mind.

Haley: Other than her looks she has nothing to offer and she can be done without. I was told the solders like her, I wonder why.

Jordin: I can listen to within my own comfort zone and be pleasantly pleased.

Gina: well it is sad that she had to leave, she could have gone further and most likely will on her own thanks to the exposure.

Lakisha: Sounds good at times, but each new song sounds like her last one, she isn’t moving forward or backwards, she unlike the others is exactly where she was when she auditioned. Sorry folks, but I find her and the comments of her on the show quite irritating.

Melinda: could be and should be the one winning this competition.

Phil: Given something to work with could pull it off and stay in the game longer not winning but be there near the end.

Sanjaya: walks to the beat of his own drummer and dares to be different. He is finding his voice (volume) and the easier he is to listen to the better he get.

P.S. I am no critic just older and more selective to the punishment I will endure, no-one will stay or leave because of me, thankfully there are more that are pleasing than pain inducing.

I watched the elimination show on the DVR in about 1 minute and it took most of that time to FF to the end. I'm not going to bother watching the elimination show anymore. When my favorites get knocked off I'll just stop watching all together.

IMO it's not a big surprise Gina was voted off. It's typical American Idol. In my opinion Stephanie was better than her and she was the 2nd one gone. Gina had no real chance of winning anyway and IMO she would have struggled to make the top 5. Unfortunately that means another week of useless Suckjaya, nothing-but-looks Haley, boring Phil, band boy Chris, and hip-cat Blake. So I guess you know who my favorites are: Melinda, Jordan, and Lakisha (in that order). If any of them are eliminated before the top 5 I'll stop tuning in. Yeah, I know Fox is trembling. :P

I want Blake to win.

Lakisha, Melinda and Jordin all just blend together to me - never sound different...and pick the most boring songs EVER. I just don't see them making it in today's music world. They aren't modern...it'll be like Fantasia....

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!
