Hes just not forceful with his ranges always seems to be on the same volumn and range with no variety even with the different styles of songs.

WTH was with Haley's 'seductive' version of 'Missing You'? On top of a terrible cover she forgot the words. She totally trashed probably my favorite song by the great Diana Ross.

Apparently Simon has the hots for her ( ) because she flopped and he totally covered for her.

Wow, I didn't expect Phil to pull of a decent performance. I think he did a pretty good job given the tough situation the guys are in tonight.

Lakisha just blew the lid off it though. Damn she can just plain sing. I sit through miserable 'talent' on this show to listen to a voice like hers. So far for me it's Lakisha then Melinda. Yeah, I know, big shock.

I thought Phil did a nice job tonight, he looked really comfortable and picked a good song for himself. I wasnt impressed with Chris R or Blake tonight. Melinda gave me goosebumps when she sang, like Simon says, Melinda and Lakisha are in their own league

I thought Haley did much better than she usually does. I really thought that Jordin sang her song well, even if it was a bit sweet.

Anyone want to comment on Paula? Was she JUI (judging under the influence) ? I like her but she was starting to slur a bit. I'm just wondering if we are gonna have to endure the final 12 being commented on through her tears!

Lakisha > Melinda > Jordin > Phil > Gina > Stephanie > Chris Sligh = Amazing to good. No way any of them are gone.

Haley > Blake > Chris Richardson = Average to bad tonight but should stay on based on the weakness of the last two.

Sanjaya and Brandon = stick a fork in them. If they aren't the next two off the show something is wrong.

The girls are solid. I look forward to hearing every one of them and wish Sabrina was still there as well. She would have fit tonight perfectly. I do have to say given Diana Ross as the song choice I hoped to hear more 'popular' songs but the ladies did a *great* job of singing some of the lesser knowns. I still hate that Haley trashed 'Missing You'. Even she excused herself.

This was a tough night for the guys. It's really unfair. They were a weak field to start with and the first time on the big stage AI throws them Diana Ross? It's like handing the girls Nirvana songs to choose from. I think Phil and Chris S did pretty well given the situation. Blake made an 80's version of a 60's song. Oops, didn't work! Chris R was just awful. He was worse than Brandon but at least he tried. Sanjaya is a nice kid but the guy can't sing and has no stage presence. Only a VoteForTheWorst influence is going to keep him on after that.
