Guess maybe we are going to have to start voteing, i have tried in the past but never got thru. Maybe this year just going to have to make it count. Out of those left there now it has to be looked at who is the total performer, the one to go on make recordings, the one to go on tours , talk shows etc a few of those would never qualify.

Don't vote. The current contestant elimination process is ####### (pun intended). They need to somehow minimize the effect of the VoteForTheWorst voters or somehow make it more difficult for the idiots to spam vote for bad performers out of dislike for the show. I'd rather eliminate the public vote all together and let a panel of competent (not you Paula) judges rate the singers.

One thing I'm sick of hearing at the end of the cut-down shows is Ryan, Randy, Paula, and Simon pleading with viewers to vote for their favorites. Sorry but what makes them think I want to spend my time spam dialing my phone after AI is over? Tell ya what, when you pay me for my vote I'll be happy to. Until then, how about ya fix the friggin' system instead? I have a few favorites. When they're gone I stop watching the show.

Would it be so hard to put a one vote per line limit?

I totally agree - it's asinine. I actually spent close to 45 minutes of my time trying to mitigate Vote for the Worst's votes. I think I need help! :help:

I have yet to vote this year. I think some of the singers are good, but none have grabbed me like last year. I'm a little bit disappointed with the entire group.

Im beginning to think this year maybe a joke, if people are being told to intentionally vote for the worst. One more voting session should tell us if there is any reason to any of it seeing changes within normal reasoning or not, and seeing those really bad ones leave.

vote for the worst has been around more than just this year... but if you look at last year, at least, they went thru several candidates that got voted off... they dont always win... but they will if others just stop trying

Cowell blasts Hudson for Idol remarks

Simon Cowell has blasted Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson after she called American Idol "a stepping stone" - insisting she wouldn't have been cast in Dreamgirls without the US talent show.

Hudson was a contestant on Idol in 2004, but was voted off before the final. Over a year later, she auditioned for the role of Effie White in the big-screen version of the musical Dreamgirls and was cast.

When Hudson accepted her Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Dreamgirls last month, Cowell was disappointed she declined to mention the show.

He says: "Jennifer Hudson said American Idol was a 'stepping stone' for her. Stepping stone? It was her big opportunity to become noticed and she got noticed and she got Dreamgirls.

"Singers like her deliberately turn against the show that made them successful. The reason (people) come on the show is because all the doors had been slammed in their face."
