I'll be watching. One of the football players from Appalachian State, where my mom and I both work, tried out. He made it to Hollywood but got cut after that. He quit school and the National Championship winning football team to try out. My mom says he's a wonderful singer. Her and the coaches were all sure he'd win. He said they want someone with a sad story behind them, like Fantasia, to win and that was why he got cut. I'm not sure, I haven't heard him sing myself. He's back in school now, but I'm sure it was a good experience for him.

Ok I must be a total moron....isn't this all live? How could he have already gone to Hollywood? :help:

Only the top 24 performers will be live. They already had the tryouts so this part is not live. everything up thru the Hollywood is done.

i dont know if we will watch it this year... we never watched it until last year (except the last two with bo and carrie the year before)... the only reason we watched last year was because we were flipping channels and caught this greyhaired guy playing a harmonica walking thru this room... when he sat down we saw it was simon, randy and paula and knew it was american idol... so taylor hicks was the only reason we watched it last year...

so, unless someone really jumps out during the preshow stuff, i dont know if we will follow it

Great look like alot of our tvs will be turned one direction, (now if i dont remember to watch) Im in Okla. home to Carrie Underwood shes pretty cool, the shows alot of fun to follow, see what Paula can come up with, we'll see who can pick the winner right off.

I love American Idol! I can;t wait to see who wins this year. I get sucked in every time. My favorite never wins, though. :( Last year, I loved Chris Daughtry. The year before that, I wanted Bo Bice. Before that, I loved Jennifer Hudson. So, I don't know how great I'll do picking the winner, but I'll join in the discussion!

Well, the tryouts are more than one week - they're even on Tuesday and Wednesday this week alone. You should still get to see some of the funny stuff.
