Hello,

I have question , my friend came to us 3 years ago after arrive he file for asylum he was approved and receive work permit and social security card this years he file for is wife application was also approved and send to Africa for processing .

According to us embassy there first put her on administration processing , after 1 week she was told that when us embassy went to verified marriage certificate , it show not marriage mean that the marriage certificate was fake certificate so visa was denied.

My question now is what will be the next step for my friend and her?

do my friend can also been in trouble if he was provide fake marriage certificate?

can his wok permit , travel document etc been cancel in one word do there have other options.?

If he submitted fraudulent documents then he needs to talk to a lawyer, not have a 'friend' post of a discussion board.

We do not have enough information, which is why you were asked questions., It would be better if your friend came on here himself so he can get info and answer questions.

In general, if the certificate was indeed fake, and USCIS suspects he knows it was fake then yes, he could be in trouble as well as her. If it is something like they had the traditional marriage cert but never got it registered with the state in his country then what they need to do is meet up, get legally married, and file again.

That does not seem to be the way it works.

That is on the "fraud" list for consulates. Are you sure it just hasn't caught up to them yet?

Years back I had assumed the same and I queried it, probably a different site. Lots of replies from those who had done so. The only place it would come up anyway is when returning and the POE ask where you have been. Nothing they can do. I think only Cuba is a no no amusingly.
