Hi all,

I have been preparing the documents for my I-751 but suddenly felt very nervous. My submission window opened today.

We have been happily married and lived together since we got married but I am still student and my husband is kind of out of work for long time.

We live with his parents, and they help us financially almost completely. The lists below are what we have now

-Joint Credit Card

-Joint Bank Account

-Driver's liscense showing that we live at the same address

-A letter showing the both names and address

-Cell Phone bill showing both of the name and phonenumbers

-Affidavids from his father and his aunt

-Lots of pictures and exchanged cards showing the shared moments together well covering the last 2 years including two international trips we did together. I put all in the timelined manner and becamse 60 pages.

So you can tell our evidences are not that strong, but then should we hire lawyer now or just submit for now whatever we have to see how it goes? To begin with, what we don't have is what we don't have, but will a good lawer make any differences??

Thank you for your help...

Hi. I think you have good evidences. It's good that you're including an affidavit from his dad. It could include that you guys are residing with him. Good luck. I don't think you need a lawyer. There are guides on this website that will help you. It's really good. If you have any questions regarding the process, I'm sure VJ members will help you.

And don't worry submit whatever you have.

Your evidences are good, only missing is joint tax transcript of 2011,2012 and tax return of 2013.

Also you can add joint health insurance if you have any.

Rest all is good if it covers 2 years.

Thank you for your reply...I am student and my husband is out of work so I don't have tax documents but my husband might have since his parents have been taking care of these issues.

Should we just submit his tax documents even if it is not joint? I have health insurance from school, while my husband has his own, so we don't share health insurance.

I have been reading that financial comingling is truly important...so I am pretty much freaked out for now...

Maybe should we add some documents explaining why so...!?

Thank you for your reply. Yes, his father stated that we lived together and also he stated that he had been financially helping us and would do so as long as we needed....I am just so worried......

You should include his tax docs but his status of filing should be married.

You can even show emergency contact from your school docs if it is your husband.

Try to send letters received at home even if they are addressed to both of you separately.
