Good afternoon all...I need your help with Kingston Embassy....Will it hurt us at all if we email the embassy to ask them about completion of passport..anyone else ever have to do this..will it help, or will it even matter or would it be looked at badly? Our status hasn't updated since April 30, still saying ready for interview..I want to email them and ask why dog

No it wouldn't look bad you inquiring of your status. Call or email the embassy.

HI all.

We are getting there little by little, just like everyone else. We are now at the stage, where the case was completed on May 5 and now awaiting for the packet, to tell my husband to do his medical and when is the interview at the Kingston Embassy.

Any ideas how long it will take?

Come on over to The July Interview thread Jamaica had been assigning interviews last week. Have you called them because people with case complete after you have already got there's.

What category are you? F2A or IR1/CR1?

Hi dwheels. Thanks for you fast reply, I was thinking they should have given us an interview date already. Who should we call? The US embassy in Kingston or NVC again, even though they told us the case was completed.

I even asked NVC for a tracking number, and they said my husband will get the number at the interview.

You are at NVC where you will remain until a interview is scheduled. All you can do is call and see are they still scheduling for your embassy.

There's no tracking number NVC gives. Tracking is a investigative hunt. But can be done once you get to that point.

What category are you? You have no timeline.

Well you know the Visa Bulletin is no longer current. So now we are at 01May2012. So whatever your PD date is you must wait until it becomes current.

There's no calling anyone its a wait. I kind of figured you were F2A that's why you didn't get an interview because your PD isn't current. All you can do now is wait. Sorry.

What is your PD date?

And you can always call NVC. They won;t no anything and will tell you hey can't process you because your PD isn't current.

I have a friend case complete since April. There PD date is 20June2012 and still no interview because of the current bulletin.

Our priority date was current, it was September 4 2013. So everything is up to date at the moment, it is just the interview that needs to be scheduled.

Sorry but no the Visa Bulletin is not current anymore. It has been retrogression back. June 2014 bulletin is out and they are now at 01May2012. That's what I am trying to tell you and why a interview wasn't given.

It was current until about a month ago. Sorry.

Thank you, wheels. But I'm so totally confused now, as when we submitted all the paperwork, our priority date was current and when it was no longer current, it fell before the cut off date of September 8, 2013. And now I'm seeing the date being retrogressed to June 2012.

So,I'm confused as to what's happening and where do we fall? As I've called NVC and they told me the case is complete, and I need to wait for it to go to Kingston consulate for interview.

Sorry but you are no longer current. They are at 01May2014 and thats where there will start off now. The operator at NVC is an idiot. They know the casefile stays at NVC until an interview so you will be waiting a while now at case complete.

You would have had to have case complete back in April and been considered then. The bulletin stop being current a few weeks ago.

Just stay on the threads and on top of the bulletin to see if any movement. Sorry.
