I have been searching with several keywords trying to find a post that I saw maybe two weeks ago about acquiring specifics on a touched status at the uscis website. I recall that the poster referred to three processes of acquiring this information with one being much more informative.

Could someone please post a link to that post as a reply here or explain it again for me ..

Thanks

Donnie and Sylvia

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

Countryboy,

Congratulations on your engagement, and and your bride to be make a good looking couple. The USCIS website address for checking on your case is https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.esp, then you log in your info under customer, you will need the WAC # that USCIS assigns to you. Write down your password and all that because they are not very forgiving if you do not remember you password. You can then go back to that same page and login under customer and check to see if there have been any touches or updates to your file. Make sure to click on the e mail update box. Our e mails came in the bulk mail portion, so make sure to check that for "cris" will be the sender and it will usually be multiple e mails, all duplicates. Touches dont really mean that much if anything. We had one touch shortly after CSC received it from Texas and none until we got the NOA2 on Dec 26, 2006.

It usually takes about 2 and a half months, give or take a few days to get thru USCIS. All I can say is develop a lot of patience very quickly if you dont have any because it is a very long wait.

You will receive your NOA1 thru snail mail. This is very important to the whole process, so make sure to keep it and everything else you receive during this process.

I think that all filings from most of the country is forwarded to California Service Center and then your petition will be processed thru that Center and all your communication will be from CSC.
