We sent our AOS on May 2 it was received on May 5th 2014 and nothing from them since than WE called the USCIS So many times and they keep telling us wait 10 days and now its beyond that time and our check has NOT been chased

does any body know if this is normal timing

plus am sort of worried about how I make my payment we made a cashier check since money order wouldn't go beyond certain amount

can someone tell how how you make payment all in one $1070 or you separate? Am worried that could be the reason why they are not working our AOS

any one experience this please feel free to share

Attached e-notification. Used a personnel check for $1070. Sent it with tracking, no signature required. Took 2 days to arrive. 8 days to cash check. A couple of days for the e-notice to be received and about 10 days for the actual NOA1 or I-797C to arrive in the mail. SO you can see it was about a month before we received the NOA1. I would make certain that the foreign spouse's name is on the mail box and is receiving mail especially if that spouse is the wife and she kept her maiden name and you live in an apartment complex. My wife's NOA1 for the AP/EAD was returned because the USPS letter carrier decided she did not live at that address. Fortunately we received the bio appointment for the I-485 without any problems.

Relax. Remember back to how long it took just to get to the US. At least now you are together.

whew you guys make me feel better thanks and good luck to us with our final process

Not to burst your bubble, but this is the first step after getting married. You will have to keep records of your relationship and then file for removal of conditions (ROC) at the two year mark of being a LPR--your window to file opens 90 days before your 2 year GC expires. Then if you want to become a citizen, you can file for that based on marriage to a USC after being married for 3 years AND a LPR for 3 years. I understand you are excited about getting the AOS on the way, but it is far from the final step in this long, long process.

Good luck to you,

Dave
