Got a response back from my senator. Not surprising.

"Normal processing times at USCIS Texas Service Center for I-129F applications are currently at 5-months. Since the processing of your application has not exceeded that 5-month time frame, Senator Heinrich will be unable to request that the processing of your application be expedited. USCIS stated that your application is currently in queue to be processed.

I'm sorry if this is not the outcome you have been hoping for. It has been my pleasure serving on your behalf with regard to this matter. If USCIS fails to produce the results of your I-129F application by July 25, 2014, please let me know and I will be happy to inquire with them again on your behalf. Please feel free to contact Senator Heinrich again at any time in the future with requests for assistance."

They totally missed the entire point of my original letter - the discrepancy between the two service centers. My whole point was that there needs to be some kind of reform in the system, not just expediting my own case. I'm going to reply and reaffirm what my original complaint was and hope that they at least acknowledge it. I'm also going to try my other senator who is up for election. Unfortunately, our representatives are less inclined to do anything if they aren't facing the scrutiny of an election.

Fingers crossed!

I got the same sort of reply from my one senator & they mentioned Vermont which isn't even processing them anymore. The other senator replied with everything he's voted for in regards to immigration reform. Not helpful at all. I'll contact everyone I can once September rolls around.

I am the petitioner.

Is it possible that the OP was going to get NOA2 anyway and it was purely coincidence that they got it right after contacting their senator?

Just wondering because of the responses from the other senators/congressmen.

I suppose it's possible, but it is curious timing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and checking my mail daily, waiting for a miracle to arrive!

Hey everyone, I received two replies from the local Texas politicians I had contacted a couple weeks ago:

Our Congressman, Sam Johnson didn't have much to say, aside from that they'll look into it (haven't heard anything).
One of the Senators we contacted, John Cornyn, said that the TSC is currently overloaded, but they're currently working on January 13th petitions (the letter was dated June 13th).

That's it pretty much, the point of their replies was for us to just to be patient :ranting:.

And how many adjudicators are having to stop looking at petitions to go pull yours from the warehouse? How many adjudicators are having to stop reviewing petitions to respond to your Congressperson? How much are all of you that are doing inquires actually slowing down the process?

Do you even know what I wrote to them in my letters? I complained about the discrepancy between the California Service Centre, and the Texas Service Centre!

Did you come here just to troll ? I don't even see the reason for you to comment, considering you have a case from 2008.

That is not the point. I will not get into an argument here with you or anyone else about the role of government but these kinds of posts piss me off. The government is supposed to be FOR and BY the people..civics 101 here. From what I can see that is not the case with USCIS. We as either USC or beneficiaries are the solution not the problem. Oversight and outcomes are lacking here as is evident as is consistency. Therefore to the extent we can do this, having our ELECTED representatives check for us is not overstepping anything.
