Hi guys! We got our NOA2 today!! We are thrilled! Just wondering if anyone knows a rough estimate on how long the next few stages take? We are hoping to be in the USA by end of September. Does this seem realistic? Thanks

First of all, congrats for the approval.

Based on my experience, I got my visa around 3 months from my NOA-2. I could get faster though but my husband and I delayed the process due our job commitment. Also, you can lookup to VJ members here that their beneficiaries are from Australia to get a better idea the estimate times for K-1 visas process. That's what I did. Good luck!

Tell me about it, I got a call at 1:00am this morning from my fiance telling me that it had been approved. She couldn't wait until I woke up haha. From that moment on I have just been scouring the forums and the web for what happens next and paperwork etc etc.

I'm in Sydney. Yeah , receive the copies of the I-134 from fiance and co sponsor (we need one), Medical, police certs and then the interview.

My partner only just left Aus to go back to the USA and work, so I have been a little lost without her here, can't wait to get over there and have all this in the past (well we still have to get married and fill out the AOS, but that's besides the point)

Lol. That's what I did. Overall all timelines after files left NVC and forwarded to the US embassy are roughly almost same - at least for my experience as a beneficiary from Indonesia-. Only a few days different if it is matter. Side note, Australia is one of easiest countries as far as my knowledge for K-1 visas process from what I read on VJ.

Still waiting on my NOA2 from December, congrats , but this sinks.....

Nothing like raining on someones parade! It does suck, Totally unfair about the time discrepancies between the 2 processing centres. Maybe join one of the specific month forums to vent instead of doing it on someone else's post though?

Considering the Embassy you'd be using....yes Sept seem do-able.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
