Dear friends,

I'm DV 2015 winner, as i understood i have to wait to 19th May to get and submit the DS260 online form, and have following question :

1- usually these forms for all family member who will travel and already included in the DV application? what about 1 year old baby?

2- what is the time frame for submitting DS260, i mean it will start on 19th may but when the last date to apply?

3- how long time it takes to get a response from Kentucky Consular Center after submit the DS260 ( CN AS26** )?

4- my wife passport expire after submitting the DS form by 9 months, I can get a new one at the end of this month since i'm going for a vacation for home country, my question if i put in DS260 the current passport data and after one month i get anew passport with new number but stamped that it is issued from the previous one with the previous one number is that ok ? also i can keep the same data and extend the passport (they will put a stamp on passport that it is extended for 2 years with keep all data as it is) ? which better ?

and please advice me if i want to know more about green card and how long i can stay out us or how long i need to stay in to get passport and these validity issue, when is the correct forum for these questions ?

thank you very much for your help guys

1. You need a D-260 for everyone!

2. I think last day is technically September 30, 2015

3. No idea, keep looking at the visa bulletin, starting in September

4. No problem to change the passport information later. I would recommend to get a new passport before the interview.

As what buckyball said but to clarify:

Any date before fiscal year end but you need to ensure it is received with enough time for KCC to process an schedule an interview.

Yes you can change passport info later, the passport has to have validity beyond 6 months of intended date of entry to the US - please READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, it specifies required passport validity in there. The "correct forum" for these questions in other words starts with reading the instructions.

Do a search about maintaining permanent residency to figure out how long you can leave the US for after you've landed. Do remember that you become liable to pay US tax from the year that you activate your green card even if you live outside the US for part or most of that year.

Thank very much, do you mean is it ok to use her current passport ID number in DS260 and when we go to the interview make a new passport (new ID number) for her with more validity !! this is my concern to have in the DS260 application different ID number ?

It's fine. Many people have passports expiring between submitting forms and the interviews, they will just update the form with the new number at the interview.
