On the Paris Embassy info page here, it says all forms should be unsigned. Why? What if they're already signed?

There are several forms that clearly say they are not to be signed because they need to be signed in front of the consulate officer. If they are already signed, I would start again with new forms.

You have to re-do them. They need to be signed in front of a consulate official at the interview.

Edited to add: KitKat and I posted at the same time, hence the repeating of information! :P

They are referring to DS-230 part II, and DS-156K they need to be signed in front of a visa officer.

Okay, but the DS-156 andDS-230 can be signed already. Of course, DS 230 clearly states do not sign, as does the DS-156K. I just thought it was all forms (as is stated on that "info page"). Sounds like that is incorrect!

I think they do that to scare people into not signing anything so the forms that actually should not be signed yet are not signed.

LOL - I'm scared enough that everything I'm doing is wrong / not enough / too much / signed / not signed / notarized / certified / original / copy ... Argh!

That is for DS 230 Part 2, right? The one that does not need to be signed...for the interview?

Not DS Part 1 that we send to the consulate in order to get an interview?

Correct. Part II is the oath, and should only be signed at the Embassy when they administer the oath.
