And besides, there is more to existence than the physical form. How much passion are we supposed to expend towards protecting the mere tip of the iceberg?

Don't Bogart that joint bro....

Yeah, but we'll be dead before all of that happens - so what do we care.

You don't care for your fellow man? What about your kids, grandkids? Their kids and grandkids?

This egocentric view is what gets us into trouble, Mr. Mining man, pouring cyanide on the ground, doesn't care because he is 70 years old and wants to make a buck for a trophy wife before he dies.

The journey does not matter. Your attachment to the physical world is borne out of illusion.

Seriously...puff puff pass....that's brotherly love in action. :)

You are going to mock my religious traditions like that? You would never say something that disrespectful if my opinions were derived from Judeo-Christian beliefs.

I am definitely NOT mocking....I am in complete agreement.

Sounds a lot like Christianity to me....our physical bodies are vessels.

He's 70. That trophy wife is the only person who will suck off his shriveled and ugly appendage anymore. Don't think that's important? It's because you don't have one. You'll never get it.

If you want to bring religion into it, Life is a gift we were given, and squandering that gift for the pursuit of shinies is not what life is about.

We should respect the gift and the place that sustains us.

How's that for joint smokin'?

Sounds like you are pretty attached to the physical illusion of your own knob. ;)

Maybe, but humans would be dead. All our struggles, for naught. No descendants living on.

That's probably why Steven Hawking believes we should be looking at colonising other planets. Otherwise all our eggs are in one basket.

I just looked it up, there have been mass extinction events before. Life continues. The only difference now would be that life on earth would continue but possibly without humans.

In a way, it sounds a little egocentric to feel that the earth has to be preserved just like it is for us. What about all the life that would continue and thrive without us?
