What should I do? My mom is my petitioner, i'm 25 y/o but NOT married.

I am planning on coming back to the Philippines w/c I cannot do because

I still haven't got any of my cards :( Do you also have any idea on how

long do I still have to wait for my GC? I checked my account on ELIS and I'm

on the ACCEPTED bubble and it says PENDING REVIEW. Please help me guys. :clock:

You can proceed to the nearest SSA office in your area and apply for a Social Security card personally.

In regards to going back to the Philippines, you can use your visa as temporary GC for 1 year while waiting for the actual card.

It's not your visa Expiration that they'll check, It's the I-551 stamp which is valid for 1 year. Check your passport and look for that I-551 stamp which says valid for 1 year.

Good luck.

Wife arrived on april 10th and case status for I55A(which is the immigrant visa fee that you pay for $165) changed to

On May 14, 2014, the production of your new card began. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move while this card is being created, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

So give it about 45 -60 days from POE to get the card.

Hi, are you sure I can go home to Philippines even without my GC?

Cause my visa says it'll expire on JULY 24. 2014

reread your visa again, noting the line where 'I-551' is listed,

then look for the endorsement stamp,

then tell us what you think.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Nope. Entered the recept number at "Check case status" page.

Side question: How come you got the GC valid for 10yrs? Shouldn't it be for 2yrs only and then you file for removing conditions?

You cannot apply for social online. Head to the SSN office and apply there.

Take your passport and Original birth Certificate with you.

Since it was already mailed out it shows as Post Decision activity and that is my guess.

Got it. I should have read your timeline again. Makes sense with respect to getting 10yr GC.

no its showing post decision activity since a long time. I have been checking my status since 2-3 weeks daily. Even in India it was showing the same status.

To be specific the exact status shown is as follows:

Post Decision Activity

On June 28, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

If you used your I-130 case receipt number this is what will show up.

Use your I55A case receipt number which you should be available on Elis website and starts with "IOE".
