Hi Everyone.. Hope your Journey is coming to an end soon.. As I am just at the start and grey hairs start to pop....

My question today is... Can u just select all the e-mails sent to your fiance and print... That way It only shows the date, subjectling and how many conversation is in between each subject.. I hope I made it understandable... :) Thank you...

You mean you won't be including the contents of the email in the print-outs?

Anyway, emails are just secondary proof of an ongoing relationship. You can simply just choose conversations, not necessarily all. Do keep in mind though that you need to show to a complete stranger that you guys are in a genuine and loving ongoing relationship. Best to choose the exchanges you had in special occasions, such as Christmas, valentines, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The adjudicator won't have the whole day reading through your files. Quality is always better than quantity.

All the best to your journey

No.....just printing out a summary of the emails does nothing to show a legitimate relationship exists....it only shows you email a lot.

Understand?

ALL of your evidences, when put together, should show to a total stranger (the Embassy CO) that your relationship has evolved through the typical normal process and has become one where you both want to marry and live permanently (and for a long time together) in the US.

So print out select emails from all stages of your relationship that should show what you talked about in the beginning is very different then today....they should be different, I would hope.

It might also help to show a variety of communication media, like text, call logs, skype video chats, etc. But in the end, it's how you present these secondary evidences.

Good luck to your immigration journey! :)

We did what you are asking about. I took screenshots of our emails showing the amount in each thread. But I also then printed out a few each month to show that we talked and what we talked about. Also, I included things like facebook messages, whatsapp conversations, interpals messages (where we first met online), skype records, etc. It was all included in a timeline that showed a normal progression of our relationship. :)

They will usually want to see a sample of the text in the emails and chats. If they are voluminous, like the 1000+ pages of Yahoo chat we had, then just pick out 50 pages or so. I know 50 sounds like a lot, but I read about one CO who was presented with 10 pages and decided he wanted to see 50. If he does not read them, that is fine; at least he can see before his eyes that the pages exist.

Skype of course does not result in transcripts, so for that I just listed the dates, times and number of minutes and totalled the minutes up for the CO in case he does not want to do the math. It cames out to over 100 hours of chat in the last year alone.

If you were physically together a lot, then you must have a bunch of photos. If you went to places like theater or resorts or anything else that you paid for, show him the receipts. Bought her gifts? Show photos of the gifts and the receipts.

In other words, show that you and she do things that people not in love don't normally do.

I don't think the credit card statement would help so much. Probably phone bill statements showing frequency and length of calls made between you and him will.

It's quality, my dear. No need to overdo it. Just provide a reasonable amount. I think what you have should be enough. Personally, it would help as well if you have a summary of these evidences of your ongoing relationship, so the adjudicator of your case files will have an overview of how your relationship evolved.

All the best!

OP, just to clarify: USCIS will not care about the e-mails that you plan to send, but will pass them along to the consulate, where the issue of bona fide relationship comes up.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Printing out a summary of your emails works just as well as a call log for proving communication/relationship. It shows how often you communicate and for how long you have been doing so on a regular basis.

Don't mean to harp but to just point out......quantity of communication do NOT speak to the validity of the relationship......only that you communicate about something often.

Content of the communication is key.....and therefore a summary listing does not address that.

Show BOTH, the summary and then select emails to verify content.
