Good morning,

We had our interview May 7th in Santo Domingo the counsel said our relationship is approved but they need to do further investigation. She asked various time in the interview if the family business had any problems or if he had ever been arrested which the answer to both is no. So why AP:( and for how long? Our love is real we've been together for a 1 year and 4 months and I fly to see him every month or 2. We truly love each other and want to be together :( what's going on!? I heard it could possibly be a name check but we don't know and are extremely sad.

Sad thing is, there's no knowing. Keep calm and carry on, who knows, maybe one of you have a same name as some criminal and that's just the extra processing. Deep breath, and don't make plans until you have that visa in hand.

May 29, 2013 - Finally!!! I-129F and associated forms delivered!

June 3, 2013 - NOA1!

August 19, 2013 - NOA2! (email)

October 10, 2013 - NVC has our case, Vancouver number assigned

***Communications with Vancouver begging to put my case on hold a while due to house not selling!!!***

February 18, 2014 - Packet 3 Submitted

February 20, 2014 - Packet 4!!

May 5, 2014 - Medical

May 7, 2014 - Consulate Interview

May 13, 2014 - K1 visa in hand!!!

July 2, 2014 - POE (Sweetgrass)<p>

July 23, 2014 - apply for EI (mother of god that was confusing...)<p>

August 11, 2014 - finally get hitched!

September 16, 2014 - send off AOS/AP/EAD

It's only been barely a week after the interview. It is normal that the US embassy takes 2 or 3 or more looks into the case files after the interview. Did they take the passport and no 221g was given asking for more documents? If so, these are already positive signs, and right now, there's really nothing more you can do but just be a little more patient.

I agree with the response above. Don't buy any ticket or plan for a definite wedding date until the visa is at hand.

No 221g all of our paperwork everything is correct! They gave us a white paper checked off administrative processing and green cards to pay domex. We kept the passport Council said to pay domex and take the slip to them she said once the investigation is complete they would respond to us through mail and have us mail in the paper with the passport that we no longer needed to go to the US consulate.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hey,

Its normal I been in your situation just sit down and relax, everything is going to be ok. AP just a normal process in Dominican Republic wait for 2 weeks and your visa will be issue. Did they gave you a green ticket to pay domex???
