AOS, EAD, AP all received the same date in Oct 06.

Can anyone explain the disjoint statuses?

Last Update

10/26/2006 I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

01/12/2007 I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

01/09/2007 I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

With email confirmation turned on, we got 3 emails for the I765 today 1/12.

We have the AOS interview this coming Wednesday.

We have nothing for the I131 other than it was touched on 1/9.

Can anyone shed any light on this? It looks very weird.

Thanks!

Hi Larry/Maria,

Apparently the USCIS system does not work well. We always get multiple (3 or 4 copies) emails for any status change or touch on our cases. I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep on watching your profile cases for any change. Currently the problem is that their system sends multiple copies, but it could be that in the future their system fails to send the email at all. I chose to check the status site frequently.

Good luck on your interview!! Please let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

nico

Larry and Maria,

What is it that looks weird? The different dates? The 3 applications are processed independently.

Multiple e-mails for the same thing are quite common. A waste, but better than no e-mail.

Hi Yodrak,

My real question probably should have been with the Adjustment of Status Interview on next Wednesday, 1/17, why would they do all this?

All three applications are worked by different people not looking or coordinating anything any other group does?

Our tax dollars at work?

As Yodrak mentioned, apparently all 3 applications are processed independently.

My wife had her AOS interview on January 9th and was approved at the interview.

The following day we had 3 emails notifying her of AOS approval, and 3 emails notifying her of I-131 AP approval. Then, today 3 more emails notifying her of EAD I-765 approval.

Larry and Maria,

Specialization - people are trained to do a specific set of applications.

You submitted the applications, you paid for them to be processed, USCIS is going to plan on processing them as long as there's a reason to. Recognize, having the adjustment interview next Wednesday does not mean that the adjustment will be approved next Wednesday. If adjustment is approved, processing will cease on the other two applications as soon as it's recognized that there has been an approval. If it is not, processing will procede.
