My Slash is getting to the end of his journey also....just thinking about it makes me weep....we need to enjoy and treasure the short time that they are with us.....

I'm sorry to hear this terrible news. I wish I could say something of comfort to you, but I do have a suggestion. We had our Willie cremated and his ashes now rest in a lovely wooden box with an engraved plaque. At least he could come with you that way. I don't know how you feel about that, but it's an idea.

Heina, we have already decided that is just what we are going to do, Morgan is a major part of our lives, we were going to take his ashes to his favourite part of his favourite park and scatter his ashes there but that would have meant he would have been all alone when we leave for the states so then we thought of that idea, to put his ashes in a litte box and we would bring his ashes to the states with us and scatter them in the garden of the house we are going to buy and that way he will always be with us.

I am at such a terrible low point and cannot stop crying every time I think of him, I know it will pass eventually and that at the moment we have to make sure he is living the rest of his life to the full until the day comes, and I am sure he will let us know that it is time. We will have Tia our female rotty and god love here even though she will be confused and will probably pine for him, she will help us get through it but she is going to miss him terribly, they have been together all their lives, with us, I have decided that these are the last dogs we will ever have, it just gets to hard to take, loosing them.
