Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has been in this scenario, I can't imagine that I'm the only one.

My employer is looking for some people to go over to one of our foreign locations for a set time (max 3 months I'd say). Will this impact my immigration at all? I know that taking a job abroad is an issue and can result in the removal of the green card, but as this is definitely a temporary assignment and I'd still get paid in the US I think it wouldn't be a risk.

Please let me know if I'm taking any chances by pursuing this opportunity.

I suppose you'll be allowed to fly back stateside during those 3 months ?

Furthermore, you will not change domicile nor cancel your US bank account, I suppose?

As long as you can prove you still live in the US, even with a moderately long stay abroad, you should be OK.

From memory, there are no red flags as long as you stay under 6 months in the year, and under 1 year non-stop. Surely one of the other members has the correct reference.
