New Delhi - CR-1 - How long to Interview ? Processing Status?

We got a letter from NVC yesterday (May 12, 2014) that said:

"We have finished reviewing your case. We will tell you when we set an interview date for your case. Please do not contact the US Embassy or Consulate in NEW DELHI, INDIA about the interview until we give you the date." (**)

We are trying to gauge how long to get the interview date and hope you can help.

Looking at the other processing times for IV-130's...ours seems to be lagging by a couple months in processing...(now at 15 months...and no interview date). We have submitted all documents as soon as notified and after the reviews, no issues with any of the information submitted - the reviews just taking long time.

If you can shed some light with your own experience with the following that would help...

1) Does the above notification (**)mean that NVC has "case complete" status?

2) What are the "status" benchmarks, if any, that we can track from here to visa issuance? Both at NVC and Consulate?

3) How long to get the interview date with New Delhi from this type of notification?

4) Any idea as to whether we will get a quicker date - or how to quicken process - due to the slow processing time of our case?

Thank you....waiting, waiting, and waiting anxiously for this to proceed.

Yes, that is your Case Complete email. Congratulations. There is a small chance for your interview to be scheduled in June. In which case you would get the IL email by the end of this week. If not, June then the July interview scheduling will start towards the end of May or early June.

You were right bkghosh...the NVC had completed our case. We called yesterday on May 16th...and they told us they had scheduled the embassy interview for June 17th!!! We also got a copy of the "P4" interview letter within 24 hours of our call. They told us they were preparing to send the file to the New Delhi embassy for the interview. Finally...in the home stretch...it's been 15 months since filing the I-130. Thank you. :dance:

I have my CC on 16 sept but still I didn't receive any email from nvc we confirmed our CC by calling then. How much time taken by them to schedule interview with new delhi embassy
