This has nothing to do with racism. This has everything to do with someone wanting to buy the Clippers. Sterling is a racist but I don't think it was exactly news to those in the NBA except to the rest of us. Also, Employers thinking they own you because they pay you and you sign a contract isn't necessarily a race based issue. It's a Corporate America issue. We just seem to think its OK because some of us are "salaried". My last employer had the same attitude. They expected us to be paid below market and work nights and weekends with no extra pay and no extra warning. They would let us know at 5:30 that they expected us to work until 2 am. We weren't even doing mission critical stuff. If we didn't, we got fired. ALL Corporations have a "Plantation" mentality. It didn't really go away with the Industrial revolution.
